Soca lovers were in their element yesterday at Farley Hill National Park, St Peter during Soca On De Hill.

The annual 4D Entertainment spectacle was attended by thousands, many of whom were repeat patrons.

Among them was Liana who said she was using the event to celebrate her birthday which was on July 10.

“I always celebrate here and I have been celebrating the whole of July.

Soca on De Hill is lots of fun. The music is good and you get to see a lot of people you don’t see during the year,” she said.

Barbadian national Ricky Black who returned from Australia said he was glad to be back home.

“Last year I missed the Hill because I came back the same day and I couldn’t make it, so this year I made sure I got here in time,” he said.

Atlanta residents Tyrius and Anthony who were visiting Barbados for the first time said they were just eager to “be outside” and take in all the vibes.

This year Daddy Fabian hosted the concert. Trinidadian artiste Nadia Batson was the first artiste on stage.

The singer/ songwriter wasted no time getting the party started with Market, Fattt, Catching Feelings, Everytime and many more of her hits.

She was followed by The Most Honourable Stedson Red Plastic Bag Wiltshire who performed Boat Ride and Something Happening. Tionne Hernandez performed her hit Starta Pack. Nikita performed Tequila, Fireworks and Everything Bless.
