Barbados again honoured its ancestors as part of the annual Emancipation ceremony.

The event began with walks towards the JTC Ramsey Roundabout and the Emancipation statue Busssa. There were more than one group, with one starting from CBC, another from Howells Cross Road and another from Norman Niles Roundabout.

The festivities continued with wreath laying at the statue then poetry, singing, dance and speeches at the Kilombo Emancipation Village. (CA)
