Sada lines up for semis in Paris

Sada Williams’ Paris 2024 Olympic journey continues this afternoon in the semi-finals of the women’s 400 metres.

The Barbadian is scheduled to run in the third of three heats at 3:01 p.m. Also lining up in that race will be Natalia Kaczmarek of Poland, England’s Amber Anning, Roxana Gomez of Cuba and Jamaican Stacey Ann Williams.

The heats get under way at 2:45 p.m. with Jamaican Junelle Bromfield in lane 9.

Gold medal favourite Marileidy Paulino of the Dominican Republic will race in heat 2 along with Jamaican Nickisha Pryce.

The men’s 400 metres will follow on the programme and three-time Olympic medallist Kirani James of Grenada will run in lane four and Jereem Richards of Trinidad and Tobago in lane 9. (SAT)
