Motorcyclist succumbs to injuries after fatal crash

Jamal Ramsey, 35, of Browne’s Gap, Sargeants Village, Christ Church, has succumbed to his injuries following a fatal road traffic collision on Wednesday.

Ramsey was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital but was pronounced dead later that night.

The accident occurred around 12:15 p.m. along Welches Road, Christ Church, and involved a motorcycle driven by Ramsey and a police service vehicle.

The vehicles were travelling in opposite directions before the collision.

Ramsey’s pillion rider, 22-year-old Tishana Jamelia Ward, was thrown from the motorcycle and died at the scene.

The driver and occupants of the motor van were uninjured.

Police investigations into the incident are still ongoing.
