Two charged with murder and other offences

Police have arrested and jointly charged KingAziz Carter, 21, and Lamar Marlon Charlemagne, 26, both of Risk Road, Fitts Village, St. James, in connection with a series of serious offences committed on Friday, August 9, in Durants Village, St. James.

The charges against Carter and Charlemagne include:

  1. The murder of Jaydan Murray
  2. Wounding with intent to injure Jabarry Bennett
  3. Endangering the life of Police Constable Khomi Jemmott (#2299)
  4. Possession of a firearm
  5. Use of a firearm

Both men appeared in the District ‘A’ Magistrate’s Court #1 on Saturday, August 24.

They have been remanded to Dodds Prison and are scheduled to reappear in the Holetown Magistrate Court on Monday, September 16, 2024.
