Two families lose homes in fire

Two families are now homeless after fire gutted their homes at Chapel No. 2, St Philip earlier today.

Divisional officer with the Barbados Fire Service, Patrick Edwards, told Nation News one house was destroyed and the second “extensively damaged to the extent that no one can live inside of that house”.

Edwards said they received the call around 5:10 p.m. and responded with two appliances and nine officers.

“The cause of the fire at this particular point is under investigation. There are no injuries reported to us so far,” he added. (SAT)
