Acting DLP president to be sworn in as Senator

Acting president of the Democratic Labour Party, Andre Worrell, will be the new Opposition Senator when the Upper Chamber resumes next month.

Accompanied by Opposition Leader Ralph Thorne and Senator Ryan Walters, Worrell arrived at State House this morning to be sworn in. 

He was a Senator in the administration of late prime minister David Thompson and was on the weekend named the spokesperson on health matters. Worrell replaces attorney Tricia Watson who served from February to August. (SAT)
