The Barbados Meteorological Services is closely monitoring the progress of two low-pressure systems located to the east of Barbados.

Currently, there are no watches or warnings in effect for Barbados regarding these systems.

Forecasts indicate that both systems are expected to track north of the island over the weekend, posing no direct threat to Barbados.

However, the presence of these systems is expected to impact local weather conditions. Environmental conditions are favourable for the slow development of these systems over the coming days.

As a result, residents can anticipate extended periods of light wind speeds, uncomfortably warm days, and potential heat stress. Additionally, localized afternoon showers are likely to continue in the coming days.

The next update on the systems will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
