Gall Hill stun Paradise

It definitely wasn’t a night of paradise in the Prime Minister’s Cup on Sunday.

Not only was Paradise Football Club at the wrong end of a dramatic 4-3 defeat to Division One champions Pride of Gall Hill at the Maurice King Sports Complex, Briar Hall, Christ Church but the night-cap match ended prematurely because of inclement weather.

Despite being favoured to win, Paradise faltered in a thrilling Group B encounter that was marked by controversial officiating, tactical substitutions, and a flurry of late goals.

The night had started ominously as heavy rain descended on the venue, a trend seen across several grounds in the tournament. Despite the downpour of rain, the second-round Group B clash between Wotton Club and Whitehall Titans started on time at 8:30 p.m. (ML)
