The Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training is seeking to bring clarity on the announcement of this year’s Barbados Scholarships and Exhibitions. In a media briefing on Wednesday, Minister of Education Kay McConney announced that 15 Scholarship and 20 Exhibition awardees were notified in writing and arrangements for the official ceremony were currently being finalised. Students pursuing studies locally and overseas are encouraged to participate in the virtual and in-person hybrid event.

In relation to further Scholarship or Exhibition winners, McConney said there may be a possibility of further awardees upon the completion of grade reviews sought by several students, rather than expected, as previously published. Any report to the contrary is to be considered inaccurate. (PR/KNB)
