Man shot in Silver Sands

A 46-year-old male was shot around 6:55 p.m. last night at Bow’s Shop, Bourne’s Land, Silver Sands, Christ Church.

The Barbados Police Service said in a release that investigations revealed the victim was sitting on a grassy area opposite the shop when the gunman approached him and others from the St Christopher’s school pasture and opened fire on them.

The man was treated and transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance with gunshot injuries about his body. One residence in the area was also damaged in the melee.
