The Alexandra School will remain closed tomorrow, Friday, to accommodate staff development, following a visit by Chief Education Officer, Dr. Ramona Archer-Bradshaw, and Acting Deputy Chief Education Officer, Mrs. Julia Beckles.

The decision was made after engaging in open dialogue with teachers and staff, where they were encouraged to freely express their feelings about their working and teaching experiences over the past several years.

After listening to unresolved grievances, the Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training decided it was best for students to remain at home while teachers and staff receive additional counselling and participate in staff development activities.

As a result, diagnostic assessments for third, fourth, and fifth form students, which were scheduled for the afternoon of Thursday, September 26, and Friday, September 27, will be rescheduled.

The Ministry will provide new dates for these sessions shortly.

Before visiting Alexandra School, Dr. Archer-Bradshaw and Mrs. Beckles visited Sharon Primary School to personally extend condolences to teachers and staff following the loss of a colleague, offering words of strength and encouragement.
