Ministry ready to support Alexandra School after teachers’ petition

Date:

The Ministry of Education, Technological and Vocational Training, received a petition from teachers at the Alexandra School calling for the removal of two students.

The Ministry, while acknowledging the concerns raised, reiterated its commitment to the safety and well-being of all school staff.

In a short statement released today, the Ministry emphasized the importance of allowing the school’s Principal and Board of Management to follow due process in addressing the situation.

“We are confident that the Principal and Board will make decisions in the best interest of the entire school community,” the statement read.

While the Ministry has expressed faith in the school’s leadership to handle the matter appropriately, it has also made clear that it remains prepared to offer its full support, should the need arise. (PR)
