Sub-Lieutenant Nakeida Gibson of the Barbados Defence Force (BDF), who pleaded guilty on Tuesday to four charges stemming from a love affair with a subordinate, should be dismissed from the army.

That was the recommendation yesterday from prosecutor Major Neville Watson, when the court martial continued at Hodgson Hall, St Ann’s Fort, Garrison, St Michael.

However, her attorney, Senior Counsel Larry Smith, is submitting that she receive a severe reprimand or a fine not exceeding 90 days of her pay.

Gibson, 37, had executed a plan on July 10, 2024, for her lover’s live-in girlfriend to catch him at her home “cheating”.
