KINGSTON, JAMAICA – The West Indies Players’ Association (WIPA) today congratulated the Saint Lucia Kings on winning the 2024 edition of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL).

Saint Lucia Kings won their maiden CPL title last Sunday by defeating the 2023 champions, the Guyana Amazon Warriors. The Kings finished at the top of the table in the group stage to win their qualifier match to head straight to the final. They won the final by six wickets having successfully chased a target of 139 set by the Warriors.

WIPA President and CEO, Wavell Hinds said: “The Kings exploits throughout this year’s tournament were certainly deserving of the trophy and we wish the team as well as the management and staff continued success.”

He further commended the entire CPL and Cricket West Indies teams on staging another successful tournament and looked forward to a continued partnership in this and future endeavours. (PR)
