52-year-old killed in fatal collision

Fifty-two-year-old Anderson Lovell died following a traffic collision along Sargeants Village Main Road, Christ Church, this evening.

The incident occurred around 4:15 p.m. today, Monday, October 21, and involved a flatbed truck and an electric bicycle ridden by Lovell, of Butlers Ave, Gall Hill, Christ Church. The truck was travelling along Sargeants Village towards Wildey, St. Michael, while Lovell was heading towards Sheraton Centre. The collision occurred as Lovell was in the process of overtaking two parked route taxis.

Personnel from the Barbados Ambulance Service attended the scene and determined that there were no signs of life. A medical doctor also visited the scene and pronounced Lovell’s death. (PR/AC)
