Police investigating shooting incident at Deacons Court

Police are investigating a shooting incident that took place on Thursday evening at Deacons Court, St Michael.

According to the report, the deceased, identified as 27-year-old Shakeil Goodridge of Upper Crescent, Gall Hill, Christ Church, was sitting in his car around 8:15 p.m. when a lone gunman approached and fired multiple shots.

Goodridge was reportedly in the area to drop off his girlfriend when he was struck.

Goodridge was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in a private vehicle, where he was treated for his injuries. However, on the evening of Friday, October 25, he succumbed to his injuries.

The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) is urging anyone with information on this incident to contact the Criminal Investigations Department (Central) at 430-7189/90, Black Rock Police Station at 417-7500, Police Emergency at 211, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIPS (8477), or any police station.
