The Barbados Police Service is investigating the unnatural death of Daryl Niles, a 40-year-old man from Mahogany Lane, St. Michael, who died after suffering stab wounds on Friday night.

According to police, Niles was taken to the Accident & Emergency Department of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital around 8:40 p.m. on November 1, with injuries that appeared to be from a stabbing. He later succumbed to his injuries.

Preliminary investigations revealed that earlier in the evening, Niles was involved in a verbal dispute with another man while they were socialising at a shop in Green Park Lane, St. Michael.

The argument escalated into a physical altercation, during which Niles sustained injuries that required urgent medical attention. He was transported to the hospital in a private vehicle, but later succumbed to his injuries.

The TBPS is appealing to anyone with information about this incident to contact the Criminal Investigations Department (Central) at 430-7189 or 430-7190, Central Police Station at 430-7676, or Police emergency at 211.
