Police investigating stabbing death at Cave Land

One man was pronounced dead at the scene after an early morning stabbing incident at Cave Land, St Philip.

He was later identified as Vincent Gooding, 52, of Rices in the same parish.

Police say they received a report around 12:59 a.m. Sunday that a man had collapsed with what appeared to be stab wounds. On arrival at the scene, they discovered Gooding’s body on the ground.

Ambulance personnel found no signs of life and a medical doctor pronounced death at the scene.

Investigations later revealed that Gooding was liming with a group of people in the area of a shop when he became involved in a dispute, resulting in him receiving what appeared to be stab wounds about his body.
