Police investigating shooting incident in St. Philip

Authorities in the Southern Division are conducting an investigation following a shooting incident that unfolded on Thursday afternoon in Farm Road, St. Philip.

The incident, reported at around 1:10 p.m., left two men injured.

Officers from the District ‘C’ Police Station promptly responded to reports of gunfire. Upon their arrival, they found a male victim in his 50s with an apparent gunshot wound to the left side of his head.

Emergency medical services swiftly transported him to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH), where he is currently in critical condition.

Further inquiries by law enforcement revealed a second male victim, in his 40s, who sustained an injury to his left arm.

Unlike the first victim, he was transported to the hospital via a private vehicle. His condition is reported to be stable at this time.

Authorities are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward to aid in their investigation.
