The Drainage Division of the Ministry of Transport and Works (MTW) has announced plans to open the sluice gate at Graeme Hall Swamp in Christ Church on Thursday, November 21, at 3:00 p.m.

The gate will remain open until 8:00 a.m. on Friday, November 22, to lower elevated water levels caused by recent inclement weather.

Officials have assured the public that Worthing Beach remains open during this time.

They also clarified that any discolouration in the water is a result of natural elements such as leaves, mud, debris and is not related to sewage.

The Ministry has apologised for any inconvenience caused.
