Pickup in shopping expected

With the start of the Christmas season, some stores in The City are looking forward to positive sales.

While it is still early days, scores of customers are pouring in and out of stores in Bridgetown, hoping to get an early jump on gifts and decorations to spruce up their homes.

At Woolworth in Prince William Henry Street, managing director Martin Bryan said the store is stocked and ready to meet the demands of the season.

With the roll-out of their 24-hour online shopping service, Bryan reported a bright start to December.
