Less than a month before the start of a new local track and field season, two board members of the Athletics Association of Barbados (AAB) have resigned.

First vice-president Andre Procope and director Dorian Best have both handed in their resignation letters with two years still remaining in their three-year term of office.

When contacted yesterday, both Procope and Best declined to give the reason for quitting but said they would still continue to work as technical officials at various meets.

“I prefer not to comment on my reason for moving away from the board at this time, but it has nothing to do with the president [Noel Lynch] at all,” Procope told Weekend Sport.
