Police investigating unnatural death in Spooners Hill, St. Michael

Police are investigating the shooting death of 36-year-old Jason Lynch of Chapel Gap, Spooners Hill, St. Michael, which occurred yesterday evening.

According to reports, police at the District ‘A’ Police Station received a call around 7:15 p.m. indicating that a male had been shot at Spooners Hill.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Lynch was outside an establishment, having just ordered food, when he was chased by two men. A series of gunshots were heard and Lynch was found lying on the ground.

Medical personnel were summoned, but he was pronounced dead at the scene by a doctor.

The Barbados Police Service (TBPS) is appealing to anyone with information related to this incident to contact the Criminal Investigations Department at District ‘A’ Police Station on 430-7242 or 430-7246, Police Emergency at 211, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIPS (8477), or the nearest police station.
