Curtis Randolph Taylor, of #51 Vauxhall Gardens, Christ Church was remanded by the District “A” Magistrates’ Court No. 1 after pleading not guilty to four charges.

The public service vehicle driver, 59, is accused of using the threatening words “I gine chop you up. If you come to Oistins you gine know what time it is,” towards Raymond Addison, with intent to cause another person to believe that immediate unlawful violence would be used against him on January 7. He also faces charges of having an offensive weapon (a cutlass) along Bridge Street, of damaging a route taxi belonging to Mecca Transport, and by wanton driving doing bodily harm to Raymond Addison, while having charge of ZR133.
The prosecutor, Sargeant Randolph Boyce, made a case that the accused man should not be granted bail because he might not show up for court and his release would not be in the best interest of either public order or public safety.
“The accused man is here on not one, not two, not three, but four charges,” Boyce said, adding that Taylor had prior convictions. (SD)
