The Senate confirmed RFK Jr. as the new head for the department of health and human services on Thursday.
RFK Jr. secured President Trump’s nomination in a 52 to 48 vote.
Sen. Mitch McConnell (R.) of Kentucky voted in opposition.
RFK Jr.‘s nomination was one of Trump’s more controversial picks due to repeated statements against vaccines and his views on abortion rights.
So far all of Trump’s cabinet nominees who have faced a vote have been confirmed. (Bloomberg)
