A section of Prior Park Road, St. James, will be closed for approximately three weeks starting Friday, February 28, as the Ministry of Transport and Works (MTW) and C.O. Williams Construction Limited undertake road improvements in the area.

The closure, which affects the “s-bend” along the roadway, is necessary to facilitate deep excavation and rock cutting on the eastern side of the road as part of efforts to straighten the roadway.

Work will take place daily from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Motorists are advised to use Thorpes Main Road as a detour and seek alternate routes where possible. Authorities are also urging drivers to obey signage and directions from flag personnel to ensure smooth traffic flow and safety.

MTW and the C.O. Williams Construction team have apologized for any inconvenience caused. (MTW)
