The Barbados Police Service has announced special traffic arrangements for the Sandy Lane Gold Cup 2025, which is set to take place at the Historic Garrison Savannah on Saturday, March 1.

To facilitate the event, general vehicular traffic on Garrison Road will be restricted to one-way movement from Dalkeith towards Hastings. Motorists must keep the Savannah to their right at all times.

However, Public Service Vehicles will be allowed normal access.

Authorities have also advised that parking will not be permitted on several roads surrounding the venue, except for dropping off or picking up passengers. These include Garrison Road, Garrison Hill, Dalkeith Road, Dalkeith Hill, Dayrells Road, Bay Street, and Hastings Road.

Spectators attending the event will be allowed to park on the grass areas around the Savannah, but not on sidewalks.

No parking will be permitted in front of any area designated for the entry of horses or vehicles onto the track.

Police officers will be stationed at key points to assist with traffic flow and ensure public safety. (TBPS)
