Trinidad and Tobago Red Force have wiped out Barbados Pride’s lead, sitting four runs ahead at 90 without loss by the tea interval on Day One of their regional four-day first-class match at Kensington Oval.

Openers Kamil Pooran (48) and Cephas Cooper (27) have been untroubled by the Pride’s bowling attack so far and were helped by some wayward bowling at times which resulted in 15 extras.

Earlier in the day, Barbados Pride were blown away for just  by the visitors’ three seamers after losing the toss on a wicket which assisted the Duke’s ball. Veteran seamer Kemar Roach top scored for the hosts with his score of 21 which included three boundaries. The 17 extras were the next highest scorer and the returning West Indies One Day International (ODI) captain Shai Hope was comically run out for 16 after showing glimpses of his class.

Fast bowler Anderson Philip was the most prolific bowler with figures of 4-36. His junior partner Joshua James took 3-8 and the leader of the attack Jayden Seales took the key wickets of Jonathon Drakes and Kevin Wickham in his nine overs which cost 32 runs.
