Man found dead in breadfruit tree at Bank Hall

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man whose body was discovered in a breadfruit tree at Advent Avenue, Bank Hall, St Michael, on Friday night.

According to reports, officers at District “A” Station received a call around 10:52 p.m. on March 21, 2025, regarding a sparking power line and a tree on fire in the area. The Barbados Fire Service and the Barbados Light & Power Company were summoned to respond to the situation.

On arrival at the scene, emergency personnel discovered the motionless body of a male individual perched on a branch in the tree. Fire officers, with assistance from Crane and Equipment personnel, lowered the body to the ground.

A medical doctor later visited the scene and confirmed that the man had died. He was identified by a relative as Andrew John, 45, of Manning Land, Bank Hall, St Michael.

Investigations are continuing.
