Man shot at Bay Street

Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred at Dunlow Lane, Bay Street, St Michael, on Friday night.

Reports indicate that officers at the Hastings/Worthing Police Station received a call around 10:40 p.m. on March 21, stating that a man had been shot and was being transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in a private vehicle.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim had been liming at a shop in the area and was walking to his motorcar when he was attacked by two assailants. A struggle reportedly ensued as he entered the vehicle, during which he was shot in the leg.

The victim was treated at the hospital and is currently listed in stable condition.
