Lodge School closes early today

The Ministry of Educational Transformation has announced that The Lodge School will close today from 11:10 a.m. following the tragic death of 13-year-old student Shawnoton Chase.

The decision was made to allow students and staff time for grieving and processing this heartbreaking loss.

Senior education officials and grief counsellors have been deployed to the school to provide necessary support to those affected.

The Ministry has expressed its deepest condolences to Shawnoton’s family, friends, schoolmates, and staff.

Additionally, the Ministry appealed for a collective effort to ensure that no other child’s life is lost in such a manner, urging the community to work together for a safer future.
