Combermere poised for BSSAC glory once again

Defending double champions Combermere School are well poised to retain both titles after a thrilling second day of the Dasani-Powerade Barbados Secondary Schools’ Athletic Championship (BSSAC) Finals at the Usain Bolt Sports Complex today.  

In the Boys’ division, Combermere surged ahead with 152 points, establishing a 13-point lead over Harrison College, who sit in second place with 139 points. The Lodge School remains in contention in third place with 121.5 points.  

Meanwhile, the Girls’ division is shaping up to be a nail-biter, with The St Michael School leading on 179.5 points. However, Combermere is hot on their heels, trailing by just five and a half points with 174 points. Despite standout performances from Aniya Nurse and Rejada Hinds, The Alleyne School faces an uphill battle in third place on 148 points, 26 points behind Combermere.
