The confetti fell at the Usain Bolt Complex yesterday as defending boys’ champions Combermere School and The St Michael School’s girls became the toast of the 2025 Dasani-Powerade Barbados Secondary Schools’ Athletics Championships (BSSAC).

The 2024 double crown champions Combermere, wearing their traditional blue and yellow, ensured the boys’ trophy remained in Waterford for the second consecutive year while the girls finished second.

The St Michael School added another BSSAC girls’ title to their trophy cabinet, their last being in 2019. Powered by Ensure and wearing their fluorescent and blue uniforms, they celebrated with their riveting chants of “Everybody jammin’ with the SMS posse, SMS, SMS”.
