Louisa Lewis-Ward leaves BRA

Revenue Commissioner Louisa Lewis-Ward is set to leave the Barbados Revenue Authority (BRA) after five years at the helm to pursue a new professional opportunity.

During her tenure, Lewis-Ward was instrumental in strengthening the Authority’s operations, advancing digital transformation, and enhancing service delivery. The BRA credited her leadership with positioning the institution for continued progress.

Reflecting on her time in office, Lewis-Ward stated, “It has been an honor to serve the People of Barbados in this capacity and to work with the Government of Barbados and Team BRA to deliver on our mandate to serve our taxpayers and contribute to the economic well-being of our nation. I am proud of the progress we have made together, and I leave knowing that the Authority is well-positioned for continued success.”

The BRA expressed gratitude for her contributions and extended best wishes for her future endeavours.

In the interim, Angela Durham will serve as acting Revenue Commissioner.
