Police are investigating the unnatural death of a young man whose body was pulled from the sea at a St Michael beach on Tuesday afternoon.

In a press release today, the Barbados Police Service said officers from the Black Rock Station responded to a report of a naked man traversing the Stephens Hill area around 1:17 p.m.

Investigations led police to Paradise Beach, Brighton where the naked man was seen at the edge of the water. The police issued commands to get the man away from the sea but were unsuccessful.

Police said they subsequently sought additional help but the naked man ventured into the sea where his body became submerged.

The body was removed from the sea by two civilians using their boat. After the body was brought ashore, a medical doctor arrived at the scene, examined the body, and pronounced death.

The deceased was subsequently identified by a family member as Emmanuel Glasgow, 20, of Bagatelle, St Thomas. (PR)
