Barbados’ Under-15s will begin their quest for regional glory tomorrow when they face off against Jamaica in the opening match of the 2025 Rising Stars Under-15 Championship at the Liberta Sports Ground in Antigua and Barbuda.

The highly anticipated youth tournament, which runs from April 15 to 23, will bring together six regional teams for five rounds of competitive 50-over cricket.

Matches will be contested across four of Antigua’s most storied venues – Coolidge Cricket Ground, Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, Antigua Recreation Ground, and Liberta Sports Ground.

All fixtures bowl off at 9:30 a.m. Eastern Caribbean time (8:30 a.m. in Jamaica), with Barbados set to play a match every other day throughout the week-long tournament.

Following their opener against Jamaica, the young Bajans will take on the Leeward Islands on April 17 at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, before heading to Coolidge Cricket Ground for a clash with Trinidad & Tobago on April 19.

Their penultimate encounter will be against the Windward Islands at the Antigua Recreation Ground on April 21, before returning to Coolidge Cricket Ground on April 23 for their final fixture against Guyana.

The Barbados squad, led by captain Justin Parris, includes: Javion Baston, Asher Branford, Kelani Clarke, Jeremiah Forde, Zarell Harding, Jahidi Hinds, Abdullah Mangera, Rajeev Parsooram, Shawnico Sargeant, Liam Sealy, Seth Smith, and Joshua Thompson. (JC)
