The Ministry of Educational Transformation has announced that Ellerton Primary and Princess Margaret Secondary will remain closed to allow environmental concerns to be adequately addressed.

During final preparations for the start of the Trinity term, evidence of rodent activity was discovered at both schools.

Further inspection revealed breaches that required structural attention and the requisite cleaning to ensure the safety of the school environment.

The Ministry stated that the decision was made to allow these works to be completed without interruption before staff and students are welcomed back.

It remains in close communication with the respective service providers and school principals, who will keep parents, students, and staff updated on the status of the schools. (PR)
