Mitchell Michael Williams has been remanded on a charge of unlawfully assaulting a man he knew.

When he appeared before Acting Magistrate Bernadeth John in Criminal Court No 2 of the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court yesterday, the 54-year-old unemployed man pleaded not guilty of unlawfully assaulting Grafton Haynes on April 15.
Prosecutor Station Sergeant St Clair Phillips objected to bail for the unrepresented Williams.
He said the two parties were familiar with each other and the accused visited the complainant’s residence, adding protection should be afforded to both.
Williams, he said, had no fixed address and he has previous convictions, the last which was in 2015.
However, the accused said that he lived in the Grazettes, St Michael neighbourhood and did odd jobs for a man by the name of Wayne Norville who had helped him with rehabilitation, but he had relapsed.
Williams told the court he had a problem and was unable to control his anger, and it was something in his
“bloodstream”.
“It come to me like a play toy . . . . Let me out on bail,” he pleaded.
He then asked the acting magistrate to make an order that he be “by himself” while at Dodds Prison.
Williams said he suffers with fatigue and if he is not alone, he gets “very angry and p . . . off when I get fatigue”.
When Acting Magistrate John asked if that was the way he should be speaking to the court, Williams immediately apologised.
He was remanded to Dodds Prison until May 20.
In another matter, Ricardo Antonio Hinds, a truck operator, of Madison Terrace, Deacons Farm, St Michael, was put on $1500 bail after appearing on a trespassing charge.
The 25-year-old is accused of unlawfully entering the premises of Jennifer Bynoe after he was forbidden to
do so by the occupier. He pleaded not guilty and his matter was adjourned until August 14.
