Shooting at Maynards, St Peter

Police at the District ‘E’ Station responded to a report of a shooting at Maynards, St Peter, around 9:30 p.m. on Friday.

Investigations revealed that individuals were in the vicinity of a bar socializing when a masked man, armed with a firearm, approached from a track and robbed a male who was in the area.

The assailant then discharged the weapon, injuring another man.

The injured man was transported to receive urgent medical care in a private vehicle. He was treated and later discharged.

Investigations are continuing, and police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information to contact the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-8477, Police Emergency at 211, or District ‘E’ Police Station at 419-1703 or 419-1737.
