Customers in the Maxwell Coast Road area of Christ Church will be without electricity for the rest of the day.

The Barbados Light & Power Company (BLPC) has announced that the interruption is due to the need to replace a pole that was brought down by a third party transporting high-reaching equipment in the vicinity of the Butterfly Hotel.

Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes as the road is currently impassable and will remain so until BLPC crews can complete the restorative work.

BLPC has apologized for any inconvenience caused and reminds the public to exercise caution as crews work to replace the pole and reconnect power lines. (PR)
