Police investigating fatal collision along Waterford Road

The man who perished in a road traffic collision along Waterford Road, St Michael on Monday was identified as Hensley Hinkson.

The 70-year-old of Dalkeith Road, also in St Michael, was identified by a family member.

Hinkson was walking along Waterford Road when he was involved in a collision with a vehicle travelling from the Clyde Walcott Roundabout towards Bridgetown. He succumbed to injuries at the scene and a medical doctor pronounced death.

Investigations are continuing and anyone who can provide any information that can assist is asked to call the District ‘A’ Police Station at 430-7242 or 430-7246, Police Emergency 211, Crime Stoppers at 1800-TIPS (8477) or the nearest Police Station. (PR/SAT)

Police are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred around 9:50 p.m. on Monday, along Waterford Road, St. Michael.

According to reports from the District ‘A’ Police Station, a motor vehicle travelling from the Clyde Walcott Roundabout towards Bridgetown struck a pedestrian.

The pedestrian reportedly succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The deceased has not yet been formally identified, and investigations into the incident are ongoing.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact the District ‘A’ Police Station at 430-7242 or 430-7246.
