A ruptured 20-inch main along Odessa McClean Drive, St Michael has disrupted water supply to several districts across Christ Church and St Michael, leaving many residents without water or experiencing low water pressure.

Barbados Water Authority (BWA) personnel are currently on site working to access the damaged section. However, no timeline has been given for the completion of repairs, as workers are currently hammering through rock to reach the affected area.

There were also delays with other companies in identifying their lines.

BWA marketing officer Yvette Harris-Griffith noted that the Authority’s usual phone lines were down.
