The local cricket fraternity is rallying around one of its members who is in receiving medical attention. In a post on its social media pages, the Barbados Cricket Association has called on its constituents to come to the aid of Kyron King, a National Junior player.

The BCA posted: “URGENT !! KYRON KING, a young promising fast bowler who represented Barbados at the U15, U17 and U19 level, is in need of blood donations. You can go to the blood bank, Jemmott’s Lane and donate under his name. Thank you in advance!! Your help is appreciated!”

This message was repeated and shared on multiple platforms and in WhatsApp message in various groups around the island.

Several notes and other information have suggested that King was a shooting victim on Wednesday however this could not be independently verified at the time of writing.
