Shooting incident at near Nelson Street

Update: Police at Central Station are investigating a shooting that occurred around 2:40 p.m. on Sunday, June 22, 2025, in the area of Nelson Street and Wellington Street, St. Michael.

According to reports, four men on two motorcycles rode through the area and discharged several rounds, damaging multiple buildings and motor vehicles. No injuries have been reported at this time.

Investigations are ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has information that may assist to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477, Police Emergency at 211, or the Criminal Investigations Department at 430-7189 or 430-7190.

Update: Police are on the scene of a shooting along Nelson Street, the City. One woman said she heard four shots and when she went out to look, more shots rang out and she ran back inside. The area is currently cordoned off.

It forced the early closure of the Antiquities Market at Golden Square Freedom Park. (CA)
