West Indies have dominated the first session against Australia on Day Two at Kensington Oval, with the score now 135-5 at the lunch interval.

Having begun the day at 57-4, captain Roston Chase stands unbeaten on 44 alongside his fellow Barbadian Shai Hope, who sits on 31 runs. The pair have put on a sixth-wicket partnership worth 63 runs, which leaves the hosts trailing by 45 runs.

Debutant Brandon King was the dismissed batter this morning, falling to the bowling of Josh Hazlewood. Adding just three runs to his overnight score of 23, the Jamaican misjudged the line of a good-length delivery that tailed in enough to knock back his off-stump.

After that, the Barbadian pair have looked quite comfortable in the middle, which included tidy leaves and some fine strokeplay, especially against off-spinner Nathan Lyon. (JC)
