Roddy Estwick — mentor, coach, and a guiding figure in Kraigg Brathwaite’s cricketing life — had the honour of presenting the West Indies opening batsman with his 100th Test cap.
More than just a ceremony, it was a passing of wisdom and a reflection of years of discipline, mentorship, and belief. From schoolboy days at Combermere to Test cricket’s grand stage, Estwick was part of Brathwaite’s development.
The occasion was this morning, before play on the opening of the second Test at the Grenada National Stadium. Brathwaite became the third Barbadian and tenth West Indian to reach this milestone.
Looking ahead, do WI have a replacement that is Mentally Strong.
