UPDATE: Two hurt in stabbing altercation in The City

Two workers who entered the abandoned Massy Complex in Bridge Road, The City around 1:20 p.m. today were attacked by a man living within the building. 

In the altercation, one of the workers was stabbed with a knife, while the man believed to be living in the building, was also injured, the extent of his injuries were not disclosed. 

Both men were taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for medical attention. 

When a NATION news team arrived at the scene, the injured worker was in the care of police who awaited the arrival of medical personnel. 

He recounted the events to the Nation team showing one wound on his left arm where he was slashed with a knife, and another on his right forearm when the assailant bit him. 

“I was in there working, and just so the man bore me with a knife so I had to hit him with a rock to keep him off but the man was still coming back,” he said.
