Escaped prisoner in police custody

Escaped prisoner Kishon Lemar Anderson Thomas, 26, also known as “Pappy”, “Paps” or “Tom”, is back in custody following a police operation conducted today in St James.

Thomas, an inmate at Dodds Prison, had been the subject of a “Wanted Man” bulletin issued on Friday, May 2, after escaping lawful custody while receiving treatment at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Around 3:25 p.m., officers from the Major Crime Unit of the Barbados Police Service executed a search warrant at a residence in Seaview, St James. Thomas was discovered inside and arrested along with other occupants of the house. All were taken into police custody.

Thomas is currently assisting with investigations.

Meanwhile, police are still seeking Kiron Darren Price-Walthrust, 24, also known as “Shifoo”, who escaped from the Oistins Police Station on Friday, July 4, around 8:00 p.m.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact the Criminal Investigations Department (South) at Oistins Police Station at 418-2608 or 418-2612, Police Emergency at 211, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477, or the nearest police station.

The public is reminded that harbouring or assisting wanted persons is a serious offence and may lead to prosecution.
