Man shot and killed in Holetown

The man who was shot and killed in Holetown, St James last night has been identified by a relative as Devontay Boyce, 21 years, of Risk Road, Fitts Village St James.

Police say Boyce – “along with other persons” – was in the carpark of a business around 11:30 p.m. when they were approached by a group of men who disembarked a vehicle and discharged a number of shots, injuring him and two others.

He was taken by car to a private medical facility where he succumbed to his injuries.

Investigations are continuing and police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or have any information that may assist, to contact the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1800-8477, Police Emergency 211 or Holetown Police Station at 419-1700 or 419-1730.

A man, who is still to be identified, was shot and killed in a car park in Holetown, St James, last night.

The Nation understands he was leaving a bar in the area.

This is Barbados’ 29th homicide for 2025.

There are conflicting reports of how many others were injured in the incident.
